CUSTOM WINCHESTER MODEL 12 16 GAUGE SHOTGUN.WINCHESTER12167613916MODERN; C&RCal. 16 ga. 28" solid rib bbl with brass mid bead and steel front bead. 2-3/4" chamber. Choke marked "WS-1". Custom flame grained American walnut buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with diamond ebony insert behind action, is of straight grip configuration and measures 13-3/8" LOP over modern Winchester red pad. Forearm checkered on sides with diamond at center. Receiver has been custom engraved with setter on point in woods scene on left and two large flying ducks in marsh scene on right. Engravers initials "L.C." are noted at back of action on left side. Bottom of magazine tube with modern engraved Pigeon and SN. All visible SN match. WEIGHT: 6 lbs 14 oz. CONDITION: Fine as customized. Bbl, magazine tube and receiver retain approximately 97% of their custom blued finish. Buttstock fit is fair as oversized at frame. Buttstock appears to have some minor scattered red paint in finish on right side near toe and scattered minor handling marks with one more significant impression on left side at center. Forearm is very good, appears that it may be orig to gun with professionally repaired cracks at frame on left side. Checkering has thinned and has had finish added. Bore is very good though it appears a small spot of solder appear on left side near muzzle. Mechanics are fine. 53056-7 JSL (500-750)
