SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 61 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE IN 22 W.R.F. CALIBER.WINCHESTER616831222 WRFMODERN; C&RCal. 22 WRF. 24" rnd bbl, 3/4 magazine, full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with pistol grip and grooved forearm. Checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Bbl shows Winchester address, trademark, model and Cal. designation rolled on left side in front of rear sight. "WP" proof is struck at bbl breech and top of receiver. SN appears on forward bottom part of receiver and on trigger guard. Upper tang has provision for sight. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 98% orig blue finish that is thinning somewhat toward the muzzle to a plum patina. Sights are very good. Markings are sharp. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Receiver shows 98% of the bright blue restored finish. There are 3 plugged holes on right side. Mechanics are crisp. Stocks are very good and retain most of the varnish finish showing handling marks overall. Buttplate shows generous amount of blue with high-point wear. 53080-22 TEP (1,000-1,500)
