SCARCE WINCHESTER MODEL 61 SLIDE ACTION RIFLE IN 22 SHORT CALIBER.WINCHESTER619952322SHORTMODERN; C&RCal. 22 SHORT. 24" rnd bbl, 3/4 magazine, full blue finish, straight grain American walnut stocks with pistol grip and grooved forearm. Checkered steel shotgun buttplate. Bbl shows Winchester address, trademark, model and Cal. designation rolled on left side in front of rear sight. "WP" proof is stamped at breech of bbl and top of receiver. Standard sights for this model. SN appears on bottom of frame adjacent to same number stamped on trigger guard. CONDITION: Very good to fine. Bbl retains 90% orig blue finish, some muzzle wear. Finish has drifted to plum/blue toward muzzle. Markings are sharp. Sights are very good. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Receiver also retains 90% bright blue finish with most of the wear at carry point and a few small scratches. Top of receiver has couple of small stains. Stocks are very good and show most of the varnish finish with some handling marks and few small abrasions. Mechanics are crisp.
