Cal. 24 ga. 2-1/2" Chambers. 29-1/2" bbls with gold bands and geometric inlay at breech ends, by L. Bernard, have Belgian proofs and German crowned "V" (pre 1891) proof on flat rib. Case hardened top lever action (gold lozenge on lever) with rebounding back locks, is nicely engraved with scroll and game scenes. Well figured round knob pistol grip stock measures 13-3/4" over checkered wood butt with heel and toe plates, and features right hand small cheekpiece. Unusual captive splinter forend has Anson type release. Bore diameter: left -.601, right - .610. Bore restrictions: left - .009 (IC), right - .000 (cyl). Wall thickness: left - .035, right - .030. Drop at heel: 2-3/16", drop at comb: 1-7/16". Cast: neutral. Weight: 5 lbs. 12 oz. LOP: 13-3/4". CONDITION: Very fine to excellent. Bbls retain approx 80% dramatic pattern Damascus with splotches of cleaned rust. Action and locks are case hardened and retain approx 80% of that color with cleaned rust, mostly on bottom right side. Stocks have numerous light marks and scratches in their orig finish, checkering somewhat worn. There are some cracks at wrist. Bores are very fine with some dents. Action is tight.
