Chambers 2-3/4". Chokes are MOD/IMP MOD. Full length tapered matted top rib with brass front bead. Rib is lightly scroll engraved near breech and right tube marked on top "GIFFIN & HOWE NEW YORK". Dbl triggers, auto ejectors, auto safety. Straight grip buttstock is checkered in 2-point pattern with 14-5/8" LOP over skip line checkered butt. Splinter forearm with Anson type push button release checkered in 2-point pattern. Hand detachable sidelocks are nicely engraved in floral and scroll pattern with about 80% coverage. Bottom of action engraved in gold "GRIFFIN & HOWE / NEW YORK", surrounded by well cut scroll engraving. Rolled edge trigger guard and front trigger is articulated. Engraved top lever and trigger guard are scroll engraved. Fences are beaded and this gun has bushed strikers. Housed in a green canvas, leather appointed case with leather retailer label inside, accompanied by 2 keys and nickel plated oil bottle and snap caps. All visible SNs match. WEIGHT: 6lbs. 2oz. CONDITION: Very fine, as very lightly field used. Bbl, trigger guard and top lever retain about 98% of their orig blue finish. Action retains nearly all of its orig case color with minor high point wear. Stocks are excellent with only minor handling marks and retain nearly all of their orig finish, some minor thinning toward butt. Mechanics are crisp. Bores are brilliant and shiny.
