FINE COMMERCIAL SWISS MODEL 1900 LUGER PISTOL SERIAL NUMBER 55 WITH HOLSTER.SWISS19005530W/HOLSTERMODERN; C&RCal. 30. 4-3/4" bbl. Blue finish overall with 2-pc checkered walnut grips and straw finish appointments for trigger, magazine release, ejector and sear cover plate. Appropriate and correct Swiss pattern magazine manufactured with the long old model frame without stock lug. Strong and prominent Swiss cross in sunburst above chamber. This fine 2-digit serial numbered variation has traditional Swiss proofs on bbl and frame. All visible numbers appear to be matching and under detailed examination firing pin and retainer and toggle pin were found to be void of numbers. Grips have a penciled "55" numbered internally, while the right grip has a stamped "11" internally. Swiss luger variations have long been considered the finest and were made to a very exacting tolerances. Extractor is correct in being unmarked while lower safety position on frame is appropriately polished bright. White stitch leather holster that includes shoulder strap is maker marked "W.SPIEGELBERG" over "AARBURG" with a believed makers date of "'04". An estimated 2000 of these commercial variations were produced. CONDITION: Fine overall with most factory finish remaining. Bore and mechanics are excellent with slight frosting in bore itself. Unlike most military variations the rear "V" notch rear sight remains intact and was never modified to the "U" notch pattern that was done frequently on military utilized variations. Grips as previously mentioned are very fine with no material loss and sharp checkering. Holster is very fine with stitching remaining intact and leather remaining supple. 52972-1 TDW (4,500-5,500)
