West German "Bw" Military marking on left side of frame. Alloy frame. Parkerized finish on steel parts. Black plastic grips. Proper mag. Factory matching box with spare mag in wrapper, spare firing pin and cocking indicator. Factory manual and test target. PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine with minor handling marks. All markings clear. Grips have slight handling marks. Bore is excellent. Mechanics are crisp. Standard post war commercial Walther markings on left side of slide. 71 dated on left trigger guard web. SN only appears on right side of slide, not marked on frame. Made without locking block. Proper cut-away on top of front strap of slide. Matte finish on steel parts. Aluminum frame. Black plastic grips. Two proper mags, steel cleaning rod, proper manual. VERY FINE WALTHER POST WAR COMMERCIAL P38 GERMAN POLICE 9MM PISTOL IN BOX.WALTHERP381839969MMW/BOX, EXTRA MAGMODERN; C&RCal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard markings, with the addition of "Nds" proofs on left side of slide and trigger guard web. The Nds mark stands for State Police of Niedersachsen, located in lower Saxonia, West Germany. Dated "9/62" on right side of slide. Aluminum frame. Full SN on left side of frame. Matching last 3 digits on bbl, locking block and slide. Two proper mags, factory matching box. PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine with light handling marks and minimal finish wear on high points. All markings are clear. EXTREMELY RARE NORWEGIAN CONTRACT POST-WAR WALTHER P.38 9MM PISTOL WITH HOLSTER.WALTHERP381986439MMW/HOLSTER & EXTRA MAGMODERN; C&RCal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard markings with the addition of a Crown/N Norwegian Military proof on left side of slide. "1/63" dated on right side of slide. Alloy frame with black anodized finish. Steel parts are Parkerized. Black plastic grips. It is estimated that less than 100 of these pistols are still in existence with approximately 25 known in America. This gun is accompanied by two standard Walther post-war P.38 mags, and a black leather post-war police holster. NOTE; The consecutive gun to this one is being offered in the following lot.
