P-38 WALTHER COLLECTOR'S LOT.WALTHERP381986449MMW/HOLSTER & EXTRA MAGMODERN; C&RCal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard markings with the addition of a Crown/N Norwegian Military proof on left side of slide. "1/63" dated on right side of slide. Alloy frame with black anodized finish. Steel parts are Parkerized. Black plastic grips. It is estimated that less than 100 of these pistols are still in existence with approximately 25 known in America. This gun is accompanied by one standard Walther post-war P.38 mag, one standard Military Parkerized Walther post-war mag, and a black leather post-war police holster. NOTE; The consecutive gun to this one is being offered in the previous lot. PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Extremely fine with very slight handling marks. All markings clear. Grips have some light scratches. Bore is bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. Matching last 3 digits of SN on slide, bbl and locking block. Two proper mags. Factory matching box, test target and manual. French post war star marking on right side of slide, left bbl and locking block. Matching numbers on slide, frame, bbl and locking block. Phosphate finish on frame, slide and small parts.
