COLLECTOR'S LOT OF CYQ SPREEWERKE P-38 PISTOLS.CYOP3844929MMW/HOLSTERMODERN; C&R; IMPORTCal. 9mm. 5" bbl. This gun is most likely a Russian capture. There is an "X" above the SN on left side of slide. Matching orig numbers on slide and bbl. SN on Walther made frame has been x'ed out with a matching number electric penciled on left side, stamped on right side. Brown Bakelite grips. Eagle 88 inspected mag. Accompanied by black leather flap holster. Marked on back "bla/1944", WaA159 inspected. PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Good condition with a majority of arsenal finish. Markings are clear. Grips are fine. Bore is worn with moderate pitting. Mechanics are fine. Holster is fine with strong stitching, clear markings, minor scuff marks, leather is pliable. 53005-14 GER (1,750-2,250)

This gun is described on pg. 147, pictured pg. 148 of The P38 Pistol, Volume 2 by Warren Buxton Brown Bakelite grips. Eagle 88 inspected mag. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster. Marked on back "hlv / 43", "WaA 668", "P38". PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Good condition. Showing finish wear to high points. Finish is worn on front strap. All markings clear. Grips are fine with light handling marks. Bore is good with minor pitting and strong rifling. Fine mechanical function. Holster is solid with light handling marks. Stitching is solid. 53005-21 GER (500-600)

RARE AND UNUSUAL SHORT BARREL SPREEWERKE WWII GERMAN P38 9MM PISTOL.CYQP383967C9MMMODERN; C&RCal. 9mm. 3-1/8" bbl. Standard "cyq" markings. Eagle 88 inspected. Matching numbers on slide, frame, bbl and locking block. Brown Bakelite grips. This gun is photographed on pg 249, mentioned on pg 247 of the P38 Pistol Vol III, by Warren Buxton. According to Buxton the "barrel was converted by shortening the original to a stub and sleeving the original muzzle band onto the stub". Accompanying this gun is a non-matching numbered Eagle 359 Walther early war mag. PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fair with some finish remaining. Light pitting here and there. Markings are clear, grips are good with a crack on the right grip at the top front. Grip screw is probably a replacement. Grip fit is not perfect with a gap along back edge. Bore has light pitting with strong rifling. Mechanics are functional. 53005-81 GER (300-500)

SCARCE CZECH MODEL CZ46 P.38 9MM PISTOL WITH HOLSTER.CYQP3862779MMW/HOLSTERMODERN; C&RCal. 9mm. 5" bbl. This gun is a post-war Czech re-build in 1946 as designated by the "46" date on the right trigger guard web. The Czech proofs on the left trigger guard web and frame have been defaced. Matching numbers on slide, frame, and bbl. Bbl has a Crown/N proof on the bottom, no German proofs. Standard WWII proofs on right side of slide. Standard Spreewerke markings on left side of slide, 88 proof on left side of frame. Greenish Bakelite grips. Unmarked mag with x'ed out number on floorplate. Black leather flap holster, marked on back "jwa/4". PROVENANCE: The esteemed collection of noted expert and author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good with a fair amount of finish. Markings are clear, except where otherwise noted. Bore is fine with sharp rifling. Slide hold open does not engage, most likely a mag issue. Grips are fine showing handling marks. Mechanics are functional. Holster is solid with strong stitching and scuff marks. 53005-27 GER (600-700)
