COLT 1911 "BLACK ARMY" .45 ACP MADE IN 1918.COLT191149601345W/HOLSTER, 3 MAGS, MAG POUCHMODERN; C&RCal. 45 ACP. 5" bbl. Late 1918 made Black Army in all orig condition. Slide shows "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY" on right and left shows typical Colt 1913 patent date with Rampant Colt followed by Colt's standard Hartford address. Receiver left shows "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on dust cover with Eagle head over "S5" above mag catch. Lower trigger guard bow marked "32". Front sight is thin, rounded,. Rear sight is flat, notched slide has "H" above firing pin stop plate. Hammer is long, checkered with slightly rounded rear. Grip safety is short tang with typical Colt bevel. Main spring housing show typical Colt bevel. Stocks are typical Colt made. Bbl is "PH" marked with common leg. Magazine is two-tone with no lanyard loop. Also includes 2 extra mags, February 1918 dated dual Mills canvas mag pouch and "US" marked leather 1913 type holster which includes leg strap. Also includes much documentation of the orig owner, Corporal George H. Wallburg. CONDITION: Stocks are in excellent condition. Bore shows frosting in breech area. Slide retains 85% orig finish with only a few dings at rear. Sights are crisp. Receiver shows 85% orig finish with most of the wear on the main spring housing. Hammer pin is installed from the wrong side. Stock screws are all crisp. Left stock lower has a scratch mark through the screw from a screwdriver. Magazine catch lock is crisp. Magazine is in excellent, crisp condition with only a minor rust spot on bottom. Mechanics are crisp. Overall fine condition with an overall very attractive appearance. Holster is missing on rivet from hanger and swivel hanger is torn with a missing wire hanger, overall condition of holster is fair to poor. 52852-2 KXK (2,000-4,000)
