REMINGTON UMC 1911 PISTOL IN MOSTLY ORIGINAL CONDITION.REMINGTON1911 UMC1184845ACPMODERN; C&RCal. 45 ACP. Very attractive Remington UMC made in 1918 pistol. Mostly orig parts and shows no signs of buffing. All edges crisp and sharp. "EEC" inspector mark shows no sign of bright metal but still retains raised metal around letters. "Eagle/28" inspector mark is thin. Stocks appear to be extra thick and are probably replacements. Screws are nice and crisp with no damage to slots. Bbl is Springfield Armory made "SP" marked with dirty corroded bore which may clean up somewhat. Magazine is pinned base, lanyard loop type, two tone. Magazine catch lock appears to be replacement type but in good condition. Most markings are crisp except Eagle acceptance stamp, which is thin. Conditional acceptance mark "E" on trigger guard bow upper left. Final assemblers mark "11" on trigger guard bow upper right. Slide above firing pin stop plate marked "E". All parts except stocks and bbl appear to be orig. CONDITION: Slide and receiver appear to have been re-blued with no apparent buffing over orig finish. Slide shows moderate remains of sandblasting on left side and again, no buffing. Slide shows very few dings or dents. Receiver shows numerous minor dents especially around pin right side and scratches on front grip strap. Magazine has dull finish in excellent condition. Front sight has small ding, rear sight small ding but notch is clear. Retains 95+% of refinished blue. Front strap almost entirely intact with a few scratches. Main spring housing shows a few scratches and slight wear from holster. Stocks appear to be new condition with no apparent damage. Bore is dirty and shows some frosting. Mechanics are crisp.
