LOT OF SATSUMA AND IMARI POTTERY AND PORCELAIN.Japan, Meiji Period. The lot made up of five Satsuma vases including two covered examples having Shishi finials and liners. Together with two Imari porcelain vases having ruffled top rims. SIZE: Satsuma covered vases 10" t. Satsuma shortest 7-1/4" t. Imari 11-1/2" t. PROVENANCE: Property of Annie Allender Gould, a missionary during the Boxer Rebellion where she lost her life. CONDITION: Satsuma very good overall. Imari with one vase having breaks at the top rim with staple repairs and missing one section. 52936-14 JTC (800-1,000)
