EXQUISITE GOLD JAPANESE CIGARETTE CASE.First half 20th century. Exterior with exquisite detailed gold engraving with flowers and village scene. The reverse, a panel with an image of a palace enclosed in a five petal sketching surrounded by various species of flowers. The interior with image of Mt. Fujiyama and signed by maker and script below. The interior also marked 24 gold (but does not test solid gold) with three petal design above. SIZE: 5-1/4" h, 3-1/2" w.
