PAIR OF CHINA TRADE TEAK SIDE CHAIRS.Second quarter 19th century China. Each rectangular backed with scrolled ears framing a hand-caned back panel above a modified balloon seat frame, frames absent. Raised on frontal tapering cylindrical reeded legs with ring-turned cuffs continuing to pointed feet. The rear legs backswept. Front and rear legs joined by a simple stretcher. SIZE: 32" h (overall), 18" h (seat) x 17" w. CONDITION: Surfaces now cleaned and ready for repolish. Structurally very good. Frames are absent on both, as previously noted.
