CARVED JADE GROUPING.

China, 19th century. Carved from a milky off white stone, the grouping depicts a figure standing aside an openwork rockery with a crane at his side and holding a peach filled branch behind his head. Comes with fitted stand. SIZE: 4-1/2" h (not including stand). PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: Glue residue around base, chip to edge of sleeve. 52714-73 JTC (4,000-6,000)
