PAIR OF LACQUERED DISPLAY CABINETS AND TEA TABLE.20th century China. Each rectangular cabinet with a pair of panel doors opening to an interior fitted with a single shelf on molded base. Each decorated with cinnabar lacquer panels decorated with figures within a courtyard scene, the side panels decorated with floral sprays. Each panel with black borders. The tea table in black and cinnabar lacquer embellished with a scene of children at play with mothers and attendants outside a pavilion. The table raised on cabriole legs. SIZE: Cabinets 21-1/2" h x 15-3/4" w x 7-1/2" d. Table 12" h x 34-1/2" l x 22" w. PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: Each with abrasion resulting in chafing to some decorated surfaces, notably at edges of base and at corners.
