ROCOCO CARVED MAHOGANY EASEL.Second half 19th century, probably New York. The easel with elaborately carved, scrolling foliate and floral crest centering a basket-form cartouche joined to molded supports centering a shell-carved medial stretcher over an adjustable display shelf above an ornate floral carved floor stretcher. The supports terminating in scrolled feet with returns of carved leaf tips. SIZE: 81" h x 28" w. CONDITION: Easel retains old polished surface, some restoration to basket cartouche.
