BLACK FOREST STYLE LINDEN WOOD MIRROR.First third 20th century, Bavaria. The rectangular mirror plate within a frame carved in deep relief with scrolling grapevines, a pair of birds and their nest at the center of the upper frame. SIZE: 20-1/2" h x 19" w. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: Frame intact with old cleaned surface, now with soft patina. Evidence of old insect damage, minor in nature, now inactive. Mirror plate newly replaced. 52806-191 HMG (300-500)
