WILLIAM IV FOUR DRAWER MAHOGANY CHEST TOGETHER WITH FEDERAL PINE THREE DRAWER CHEST.Mid 19th century England and New England. 1) With rectangular top above the conforming case fitted with four graduated long drawers, all with wood knobs. Raised on tapering, ring-turned cylindrical legs on suppressed ball feet. 2) The rectangular pine top above a conforming case with three reverse graduated drawers above French feet with shaped returns. The chest with wooden knobs. SIZE: 1) 38" h x 43" w x 20" d. 2) 33-1/2" h x 36-1/2" w x 15-1/2" d. PROVENANCE: From an unreserved Corea, ME collection. CONDITION: 1) With extensive soiling and in-use wear. Original surface in chocolate-brown color. Losses to decorative banding or strips along apron. 2) In-use abrasions. Chest has been striped and repolished, now in medium honey-brown color. Structurally good. 52885-6 HMG (500-700)
