The square top with hinged D-form leaves projecting above the base fitted with two drawers, raised on ring-turned swelled and tapering rope-twist legs with ring-turned cuffs on tapering cylindrical feet. 2) Second quarter 19th century, Boston or Salem, Massachusetts. Square top with molded edge and hinged D-form leaves above the base, fitted with a pair of drawers with string inlaid borders, raised on spiral-turned cylindrical legs with ring-turned cuffs on brass capped casters. The rear of the table with simulated drawers. SIZE: 1) 29" h x 18" sq (closed), 36" w x 18" d (open). 2) 28-1/2" h x 17" sq (closed), 31-1/2" w x 17" d (open). PROVENANCE: From an unreserved Corea, ME collection. CONDITION: 1) With original surface, top with some old staining and abrasion. Good, rich color and patina. Structurally very good. 2) Table retains original surface. Top with minor staining. Brasses now comprised of two pair of period molded brass knobs. Normal and expected in-use wear.
