FRENCH CRYSTAL REGULATOR MANTEL CLOCK.Last quarter, 19th century, France. The rectangular brass case with molded corners, fitted with four clear beveled glass panels and with hinged doors at front and rear. Raised on a concave molded plinth with bracket feet. The French brass eight-day movement with open escapement and Roman numeral chapter ring on the porcelain dial, centering time and strike apertures, striking on a gong. The movement driven by a two-barrel mercury pendulum. The brass back-plate impressed with the serial number 658. "THIS ITEM CANNOT BE SHIPPED AND MUST BE PICKED UP AT OUR FAIRFIELD, MAINE FACILITY DUE TO THE MERCURY PENDULUM SIZE: PROVENANCE: Ex private Massachusetts collection.
