COUNTRY SHERATON PINE AND CHERRY CHEST OF DRAWERS.Mid 19th century, New England. The rectangular case with cherry splash guard and central brass roundel. The chest fitted with a single long drawer projecting above three conforming long drawers, flanked by engaged three-quarter baluster-turned rope-twist pilasters, raised on tapering baluster- and ring-turned legs terminating in suppressed ball feet. SIZE: 48" h x 43" w x 21" d. PROVENANCE: From an unreserved Corea, ME collection. CONDITION: Chest retains early if not original surface with normal and expected in-use wear and a mellow, honey-brown color with good patina.
