FEDERAL MAHOGANY BOX SOFA.First quarter 19th century, probably Maine. The horizontal crest rail joined to downswept, overupholstered arms centering the rectangular seat raised on eight square, tapered legs terminating in brass-capped casters. SIZE: 37" h x 80" l x 30" d. PROVENANCE: From an unreserved Corea, ME collection CONDITION: Structurally sound. Legs retain old, if not original, surface. Casters original.
