SHERATON TIGER MAPLE DROP LEAF TABLE, SMALL PINE CABINET, AND TWO SHERATON STANDS.19th century, New England. The first a tiger maple drop leaf table with hinged rectangular leaves projecting above the conforming apron, raised on swelled ball- and ring-turned legs. The second a pine single door storage cupboard with molded cornice above the rectangular case with hinged door opening to an interior with four shelves. The third a Sheraton one drawer maple stand with baluster-, ring-turned, swelled, cylindrical legs with spool-turned cuffs and tapering feet. The fourth a tiger and bird's eye maple drop leaf one drawer stand with simulated two drawer front, raised on spool-turned tapering cylindrical legs. SIZE: Drop leaf table: 28" h x 42" w x 21" d (closed). Cabinet: 29" h x 31" w x 12-1/2" d. Sheraton stand: 25-1/2" h x 17-1/2" sq. Drop leaf stand: 29-1/2" h x 16" w x 19" d. (closed). PROVENANCE: From an unreserved Corea, ME collection CONDITION: Drop leaf table with seam separation on top. Repairs to top in area of two hinges. With normal and expected wear and abrasion. Top in need of re-attaching. Cabinet with abrasions on front of door. Iron hardware original. Molded base absent. Sheraton stand with small ring stains on top. Otherwise good. Drop leaf stand with one milk glass drawer pull significantly damaged. Surface staining on top, in need of re-polish. 52885-5 HMG (400-600)
