TWO BARREL BACK ARMCHAIRS.Mid 20th century, American. The first a high back example with horizontal crest rail. The over-upholstered chair with horizontal arms and in-curved supports on square tapered legs. Now covered in a beige textured fabric with tufted back, slip seat cushion, and double brass tack rows. The second chair with channeled curved back joined to rolled, over-upholstered arms, raised on acanthus-carved cabriole legs on ball-and-claw feet. Covered in older textured rose colored silk. This slip seat with fringed ends. SIZE: First: 45" h (back), 18" h (seat) x 30" w. Second: 37" h (back), 17" h (seat) x 32" w. PROVENANCE: From an unreserved Corea, ME collection. CONDITION: Both chairs in structurally good condition. The first with serviceable, clean cover. The second with faded and worn fabric. 52885-69 HMG (100-150)
