ANTIQUE WATCH FOB FROM ESTATE OF ADMIRAL MORTON L. DEYO WITH NOTE PURPORTING LINEAGE TO STEPHEN DECATUR.About 3" ornate silver and gold colored spinning fob with agate on one side of spinner and multi-colored flowers on other. Associated note reads "Watch fob said by Mrs. Deyo to belong to Stephen Decatur of Tripoli". Also found on a typed family inventory that states the watch fob was "given to S. Decatur of Tripoli by Commodore Gordon". SIZE: PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: Good to very good. Wear to high areas and base metal exposed, dented side to top mount that holds ring. 52714-160 JGS (400-600)
