THREE PIECES OF STERLING AND COIN SILVER TABLE WARES.1) American coin silver oval footed tray with engraved initials "YMG" (probably Mayo family) by Gorham Company, Providence, RI, retailed by M.W. Galt Brothers, Washington, D.C. The oval tray having a decorative border with engraved interior ovals centered on the three letter initials. Raised on four decorative curved feet, the bottom marked with Gorham hallmarks, "coin, M.W. Galt & Bro." 2) American coin silver round dish supported by three griffin feet by Gorham Company, Providence, RI. The dish having a bead edge and stepped interior, the bottom marked with Gorham hallmarks "coin 50". 3) American sterling silver handled mug engraved "HMV" (probably Mayo family) by S. Kirk & Son, Co., 1896-1925. The shaped mug with footed base having as s-scroll handle, marked on bottom "S. Kirk Son Co 925 / 1000 138". Total weight 31 troy oz. SIZE: 1) 3/4" h x 10" w x 17" d. 2) 1-3/4" h, 6-1/2" dia. 3) 5" h. PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine, descendant of Commodore Stephen Decatur (1779-1820), Captain John Pine Decatur (1786-1832), and Vice Admiral Morton Deyo (1887-1973). Also Descending from the Ten Eyke and Mayo Families. CONDITION: 1) Some light dings, otherwise very good. 2) Rim is slightly out of round, minor dings, otherwise good. 3) Small dent on side, otherwise good. 52714-140 WAG (1,000-1,500)
