TWO HAND HOOKED RUGS.Early 20th century New England. 1) Geometric pattern rug comprised of squares within squares, solids and striped polychrome designs. 2) Vibrant polychrome floral rug depicting floral springs within an oval within a chocolate brown demilune within fruit and floral spandrels. SIZE: 1) 4'4" x 9'2". 2) 4'5" x 5'9". PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: 1) Overall good, one faded and slight stained corner. 2) Areas of spotting and light staining, colors otherwise remain vibrant. Even wear overall with soiling. 52714-104 HMG (800-1,200)
