GROUP OF TWO HOOKED RUGS.Early 20th century New England. 1) Floral example depicting floral sprays and tendrils on a burnt gold ground backed on canvas. 2) A pictorial rug of recumbent lions. A vibrant example of female lion with her cub within a floral landscape within a red and black striped border. SIZE: 1) 2'6" x 3'10". 2) 2'9" x 5'3". PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine.
