GEORGIAN MAHOGANY TRIPLE TEA CADDY.Second half 18th century, England. The hinged rectangular top with concave molded edge fitted with a brass bail, opening to interior fitted with three aligned tin caddies with lids; the interior of lid and box with baise lining. The caddy with fine figural mahogany veneers. SIZE: 6-3/8" h x 10-3/4" w x 6" d. PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: Old repairs to veneer at top of lid. With two small areas of missing veneers, long absent. Front of caddy with marks from removal of adhesive tape, can be polished out. Otherwise good.
