CLASSICAL FIGURAL MAHOGANY DROP-LEAF SEWING TABLE.Second quarter 19th century Massachusetts. The rectangular top with D-form hinged leaves above the conforming case of two long drawers over a barrel-form storage drawer raised on ring turned cylindrical legs joined to a shelf with incurved sides above ring-turned suppressed ball feet on casters. SIZE: 29-1/2" h x 19" w closed/36" w open x 17-1/4" d. PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: Work table retains original surface, structurally good, barrel drawer intact and original. Old veneer losses to areas of lower shelf.
