GROUP OF SIX HOOKED RUGS.Early 20th century New England. 1) Rug depicting clusters of fruit on a cream ground. 2) Rug of a grey hulled sailing ship. 3) Wrought with a central floral spray within a leafy border of orange and browns. 4) Floral rug, large floral spray within a pale blue and pale pink cartouche on a blue-grey ground with foliate corners. 5) Floral mat on a charcoal grey ground. 6) Welcome mat of a sailing ship within a floral border. SIZE: 1) Approx: 4' 10" x 4'4". 2) 2'6" x 4'2". 3) 1'11" x 4'3". 4) 1'10" x 3". 5) 1'8" x 2'7". 6) 2'8" x 3'3". PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: 1) Faded with some matting. 2) Poor. 3) Deterioration at the ends. 4) General wear and soiling. 5) Multiple small holes and matted down. 6) Multiple holes and pulls, fair overall. 52714-106 HMG (400-600)
