STAMPED GOLD AND AGATE RING ALONG WITH A BLUE GLAZED RING.1) The ribbed gold band having a central hammered section holding a small polished multi colored agate stone. 2) The small pottery ting in blue glaze with what appears to be a small stylized bird impressed. Note: Ruth Lynda Deyo (1884-1960) was a successful concert pianist and traveled extensively during her career. In the 1920's she traveled to Egypt where she performed frequently, composing and working as a pioneering ethnomusicologist and became something of an Egyptologist, something quite unusual for a woman at that time. Accompanying her on these trips was her husband Charles Dalton. SIZE: 1) 3/4" x 3/4". 2) 1" w x 3/4" h. PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine.
