FOUR EGYPTIAN NECKLACES.All metal linked having blue glazed pottery stick beads along with orange colored round and tube beads. Note: Ruth Lynda Deyo (1884-1960) was a successful concert pianist and traveled extensively during her career. In the 1920's she traveled to Egypt where she performed frequently, composing and working as a pioneering ethnomusicologist and became something of an Egyptologist, something quite unusual for a woman at that time. Accompanying her on these trips was her husband Charles Dalton. SIZE: 16", 22", 23" and 24". PROVENANCE: A most historical and important collection from the estate of Maria Decatur Mayo Deyo (Lila) Garnett of Kittery Point, Maine. CONDITION: Good. 52714-210 WAG (500-1,000)
