RARE 44-STAR MEDALLION AMERICAN FLAG COMMEMORATING THE STATE OF WYOMING, 1891.Printed cotton. Canton is a triple wreath of concentric stars with a single star found in each quadrant. This is not a commonly found flag, and it is actually quite scarce in this configuration as most 44's are found with conventional rows of stars. SIZE: 23-1/2" X 31". CONDITION: Flag unfinished at both longitudinal ends. Areas of minor weakness or loss most notably along fold lines in lower two white bars and first white bar from top. Light staining and minimal foxing most notable in white bars. Otherwise very good. Colors remain strong. 53030-1 HMG (2,000-3,000)
