RARE NAPOLEONIC IRON AND BRASS FLATIRON STAND.Circa 1809 France. This unusual footed flatiron stand applied with carved brass ornamentation in the Classical style depicting a ribbon tied wreath within which are the initials of the owner above the date of "1809", over a classical urn with foliate drapery joined to a ring turned carved handle. SIZE: 2" h x 17" l x 4-1/4 w. CONDITION: The stand with rust corrosion. Handle with dry and crusty old surface. Brass trim with well carved details in good condition overall. 52935-4 HMG (2,400-2,800)
