MAJOLICA THREE-PART RABBIT DECORATED GAME DISH.The three-part dish having a brownish/green base with turquoise blue interior. A white porcelain insert having two thumb holds. The cover having a central branch handle and a brown rabbit laying on fern leaves surrounded by a border of dark majolica glaze. Unmarked but possibly by George Jones. SIZE: 7" h x 11" l x 8" d. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: Very good, insert with discoloration & crazing. 52806-117 WAG (1,500-2,500)
