MAHOGANY CASED DOUBLE SAILOR'S VALENTINE.Last quarter 19th century. The octagonal hinged case opening to a conforming double shell Valentine. The left side facing with multi-triangular shell border forming and 8-pointed star with central rondel with the words "EVER THINE" in seed shells. Proper right side with central rondel depicting a heart beneath a floral spray within a border of pink and white shell flower heads. SIZE: 12" h x 12" w, 3-3/4" d closed CONDITION: All shells intact and in place. Mahogany case with polished surface, rich color and good patina.
