OUTSTANDING WATERCOLOR NEEDLEWORK PICTURE "FRIENDSHIP".American/British school. The picture shows a woman holding a vine of leaves and flowers standing next to a young girl seated with a lamb. A red roofed house is seen under trees and a castle on a hill in background. On the right and side are two doves over a plinth which is written "Friendship". The background is a lake with mountains and there are two boats with people all in watercolor. Wonderful period frame adorned with shells, oak leaves and acorns (one edge loss to upper left). The needlework is matted in an eight sided window with black and gold painted eglomise glass mat. SIZE: Sight: 19-1/2" x 24-1/2".
