RARE FEDERAL LADY'S EASY CHAIR.Late 18th century, New England. The frame comprised of mahogany, maple and pine. The narrow flaring back with crescent shaped crest rail, joined to shaped wings continuing to down-sloping arms with vertical supports centering a trapezoidal seat. The frame entirely over upholstered, raised on delicate, ring-turned, swelled cylindrical, tapering legs on ball feet raised on brass capped casters. SIZE: 50-1/2" h of back x 16-1/2" h of seat x 26" w. CONDITION: The upholstery of a coral hue with white flowers is in serviceable condition. The frame structurally fine with no visible repairs or restoration. Underside of seat frame now exposed for inspection. Excellent condition overall. 52738-24 HMG (2,000-4,000)
