SEMI ANTIQUE MAHAL CARPET.First third 20th century, central Persia. The rug with rows of ivory, indigo, and pink subsidiary medallions on a terracotta ground with dense, scrolling polychrome floral vinery all within a midnight blue main border with lotus blossoms and floral sprays among scrolling floral trellis work within multiple polychrome floral guard borders. SIZE: 10' x 14' 2". CONDITION: Rug retains nearly full pile with good palate. Small areas of insect damage along outer guard border, now inactive, affecting less than 1% of rug.
