Second half 20th century, Utica, New York. With impressed mark "N. A. White & Son Utica, New York / 3". The numeral three within a laurel wreath. Decorated in cobalt blue with large and fanciful bird perched on a flowering branch. SIZE: 15-3/4" h. CONDITION: Small, shallow fleck in stoneware between leaves of branch and additionally on rear quadrant of jug. Intermittent areas of color variation behind bird's head and behind tail. A large drip mark of blue glaze, a product of firing that obscures the letter "N" in company name. Otherwise very good overall. 52938-4 HMG (2,000-4,000)
