FINE NANTUCKET LIGHTSHIP BASKET MARKED WITH INITIALS "T. W. R."Late 19th-early 20th century, Nantucket, Massachusetts. This nice example with steam-bent oak swivel handle with tight, even spacing in stitching. The hardwood circular bottom with the initials "T. W. R." on the interior, additionally carved with initials "M H И" followed by an indistinctly scratch carved "Y E...". SIZE: 8" h x 11-1/4" dia. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing", South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: With rich, nutty-brown color and patina.
