NANTUCKET LIGHTSHIP BASKET.Late 19th-early 20th century, Nantucket, Massachusetts. This well-shaped, smaller example with steam-bent flattened half-round swing handle. The round wood base unsigned and unmarked. SIZE: 6-1/2" h x 10-1/2" dia. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing", South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: With dry, crusty surface and good nutty-brown color and patina. No breaks or restoration. Very good overall. 52806-123 HMG (600-900)
