FOLK ART CARVED AND PAINTED NOAH'S ARK.Last quarter 19th century, Pennsylvania. The Ark painted-decorated in classic form, the roof with simulated wavy shingles and decoration of a bird on one side in the Pennsylvania Dutch taste. Ark with removable side. Accompanied by more than sixty-five paint decorated animals including five human figures. SIZE: 9-3/4" h x 20-3/4" w x 6-1/2" d. CONDITION: The Ark with original crusty, dry paint and with normal and expected in-use abrasion. The animals retaining all original paint with minor losses and chip damage, most notably on applied appendages. Otherwise generally good. 52935-12 HMG (1,800-2,200)
