LAVAR KERMAN PICTORIAL PRAYER RUG.Late 19th-early 20th century, south Persia. On this nice example, wrought with a large stylized flowering tree on a pale gold field amongst a profusion of floral sprigs beneath the mirab with scrolling foliate and floral vinery. The main border with conifers and flowering shrubs on a plum ground flanked by floral guard borders. SIZE: 4' 3" x 6' 10". CONDITION: Rug retains good color and strong palate. Normal and expected even wear throughout. Loss of fringe. Selvage intact. No restoration or repairs noted. Good to very good overall. 53008-1 hmg (800-1,200)
