PRIMITIVE OAK COBBLER'S BENCH WITH TOOLS.The free-form bench fitted with a gallery compartment with tray. Additionally fitted with old leather strapping in which are set a selection of period tools. A simple box drawer fitted beneath the seat. The whole raised on splayed hand-hewn square legs. SIZE: 20" h x 39" w x 17" d. PROVENANCE: Contents of a lifetime collection "Brook Crossing," South Pomfret, VT. CONDITION: Retains old original surfaces, showing appropriate abrasions and in-use wear. Nicely patinated.
