VIBRANTLY DECORATED JELLY CUPBOARD.1st quarter 19th century New York State. The rectangular cabinet comprised of pine and basswood fitted with a pair of aligned short drawers above a long drawer over a pair of panel cupboard doors. The whole decorated with original faux exotic wood and wide stripe decoration in yellow and ochre paint. The case with cupids bow side panels, the case front with vigorously scalloped apron SIZE: 48-3/4" h x 42-1/2" w x 17-1/2" d". CONDITION: All hardware original, as is decorated surface. Minor paint abrasions and imperfections. Proper right front top corner with old abrasion and a multitude of "pinpricks", origins unknown. Very fine original condition. 52738-19 HMG (3,000-6,000)
