EXCEPTIONAL POLYCHROME DECORATED SLATE CHECKERS GAMEBOARD. 19th century, found in Vermont. The vibrant 7 color board utilizing circular and semi-circular motifs, surrounding a classic black and white checkerboard. All embellished with a striated faux marble ground. The designs all with incised borders. Housed in a modern frame for hanging. SIZE: Board: 19-1/2" sq. Exterior: 22-1/2" sq. CONDITION: Very minor surface abrasions.
