CHIPPENDALE MAPLE TALL CHEST OF DRAWERS.Last quarter 18th century, New England. The dovetailed case with applied molded cornice above a pair of aligned short drawers over four graduated long drawers, all with thumb molded edges on a molded base, raised on bracket feet with shaped returns. SIZE: 43" h x 40-1/4" w x 19" d. CONDITION: Case with old restoration with butterfly cleats on interior of case sides. Period brasses appear to be original. Restoration to drawer guides. Bracket feet with original and later glue blocks, with rosehead nail fasteners. Surfaces have been cleaned. In need of re-polishing.
